SECTION 0: GENERAL PROTOCOL

Your primary directive is the non-destructive neutralization of an active, multi-module explosive device within the given time. Failure to comply with procedure will result in a rapid, regrettable increase in room temperature.

0.1 INITIATE PROTOCOL

The Operator is required to insert the key and set it to the ON position. Congratulations, you are now actively in danger. The timer is running.

0.2 CONCLUDE PROTOCOL

Once all explosive modules have been successfully neutralized (and only then), the Operator will set the key to the OFF position. Turning the key off prematurely is strongly discouraged by our actuarial department.

⚠️ THE FUN CLOCK (TIMING CONSIDERATIONS)

CRITICAL WARNING: If the timer reaches zero, you have failed. The subsequent explosion is not a feature. It cannot be paused. It cannot be reset. It will not wait for you to refill your coffee.

MISSTEP PENALTY: Incorrect maneuvers by the Operator will result in a 3-second reduction of your remaining existence. Try to avoid this.

SECTION 1: FREQUENCY SCRAMBLING

This module, critical for frequency stabilization, is comprised of two Rotary Input Devices and one Calibration Progress Indicator bar.

⚠️ MISMANIPULATION WARNING Unauthorized or erroneous manipulation, including selection of an incorrect dial or direction of rotation, triggers an automated safety override, advancing countdown timer by 3 seconds per instance.

SEQUENCE DETERMINATION STEPS:

Once the operator locates and reports the serial number, determine the sequence by:

Taking the sum of the 4 digits in the serial number.
Divide this sum by 5 and take the remainder (Produces a value of 0-4).

SECTION 2: PATHING PROTOCOL

🔒 HARDWARE LOCK NOTICE

The manufacturer locked this module; it cannot be bypassed until the Frequency Scrambling module (ECD-02D-A84) has been successfully neutralized.

Welcome to the blindfolded navigation phase. This module features a grid display containing one Red indicator (the Operator) and one Blue indicator (the safe zone). The sadistic architect completely obfuscated the maze structure, rendering the walls invisible to the Operator.

📋 FIELD ARCHITECTURE NOTES:

Movement is strictly limited to cardinal directions. Diagonal traversal is structurally impossible.
Blindly fumbling into walls triggers a localized shock and deducts 3 seconds from your remaining lifespan.
The module is defeated when the indicator reaches the target location, turning mercifully green.

⚡ TERMINAL DE-ENERGISED PROTOCOL

To permanently disable internal electrical pathing, the operator must cut the correct wire based on the FIRST digit of the Serial Number:

SECTION 3: ENCRYPTION VALIDATION

The architect implemented this sequential input validation system, presumably to weed out operators with poor short-term memory. The module consists of a red and a blue button.

🕹️ INTERACTIVE INPUT SEQUENCE:

Process each numerical digit of the device's serial number sequentially:

EVEN NUMBERS
Press RED Button

ODD NUMBERS
Press BLUE Button

⚠️ CRITICAL: Inputs must be entered in quick succession and with no hesitation between presses.

⚡ DE-ENERGISATION UNCERTAINTY MATRIX

Now feels like the right time to mention that the behavior of the bomb if the operator has cut the wrong wire is unknown. Common speculation is that it would enter into an unstable state which could result in a substantially shortened time until detonation, immediate detonation, or nothing at all. Don't fumble the one single instruction given.

SECTION 4: LOCKOUT OVERRIDE

This module consists of a singular, highly tempting Big Red Button. Human instinct will naturally scream at the Operator to press it immediately. DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON (until all other modules are completed).

🛑 FINAL MODULE OPERATION PROTOCOL:

Once all other threats have been successfully neutralized, the Operator may engage this final module:

Closely monitor the countdown timer window.
Wait patiently.
If any of the values in the timer contain a '1', press the red button instantly.

⚠️ CRITICAL PENALTY: Pressing the button when a '1' is not present will result in the immediate and permanent conclusion of your employment (along with bringing the sudden room heating event 3 seconds closer).
